Hooray
it was quite an enjoyable semester
my classmates and course mates are fantastic and I looked forward to going for classes
feeling pretty free now, nothing to do
wish I could train train train
but I just went to the doc to get rid of the warts which have been residing in my foot for the longest time ever
so it's pretty bad, whole toe swelled like a lil sausage and it was !!!!!!!!!! painful
had to hobble around on my left (injured ankle) leg cos the ball of my foot n big toe had warts too, but they're not as bad as the major one on my lil toe
I hope the virus DIE DIE DIES!!!!
that left me unable to train cos it was so painful even when I was sitting around doing nothing
not supposed to get it wet either
so im so sad....But I hope this solves this problem once and for all!!!
will post pictures of the (very) disgusting toe when I get back to my laptop which is in hall
but as of today,it's very much better, although I still have to bear with the pain for the first 100 steps I take, or about the first 10minutes of cycling before the pain subsides
way better than the past few days
hope it gets better tmr! heading to desaru for a long long long ride (:

pet peeve
you are walking on the pavement
there are 2 people walking towards you, side by side
if i were them, i'll walk behind my friend so that the other person can walk through without walking out of the pavement or worse still, crashing into the bushes
but NO, they continued walking side by side and forced me to walk into the bushes!
thanks
how rude
urgh!!
anyway, this happened during class today and I was pretty upset
during ed psych class (with other non-PE people), we were on the topic of the problems we may face with class management and we were supposed to present the rules that we would enforce to specific subject lessons
so one of the PE groups said that students were supposed to change into their PE attire even if they were sick
i guess they didn't specifically state that this refered to the students who did not have an MC and were feeling unwell on that day
but even so, the class (non-PE people) had a HUGE reaction to that rule
I tell you, I can't get the sound out of my head
even after re-explaining to them, the look on their faces were terrible
they made it seem as though it was a torture to go for PE classes, especially the female teachers
It really upset me that the other teachers treated PE this way
it shows how much they think PE is so NOT important and that if the students don't want to do it, they will agree with them
Thank God our tutor (who is a very good tutor) really said what was on our minds at that time
she said (not word for word, but something like that) "i think this is the problem that many PE teachers face: other teachers think that PE is not important and release the students late, thinking that it's only a few minutes off the PE lesson and it doesn't matter. But out of the whole week of academic stuff, there is only so little time for PE, for them to get out and exercise, and it is very important.."
yay for Mrs Chee.haha
i guess the Singapore society is still unable to accept sports as an important part of our lives
check out this article - Singaporean's Belief in Sports still lacking
Sports in Singapore will never go far like that
with parents, teachers, the majority of the population not believing
Change is really hard and it'll take lotsa radical peole and hard work
it'll take a pretty long time
I love Singapore a lot
but I wish some things would change
was talking to ron this morning over video msn chat and he was telling me how the sports in loughborough uni was way up there and it's really motivating to see every one training just as hard, or even harder than you. the facilities there are superb and there are like 13 coaches who are all very qualified. really happy for him that he's training so hard and getting into really good shape :)
picture of the indoor track with the outdoor one just next to it. super nice!

virtual world
realised that in the pantry yesterday when I saw that even prima flour has a website and tips on baking!
amazing
what a change from just less than a century ago
so I'm pretty free these days cos we're done with all our PE modules
left with a 4 hour week now
been trying to study for the 2 papers coming up in exactly 2 weeks time
but for now, I'm trying to organise all my emails
in my head, i think of emails like mails floating around out there
gotta delete them or download them to my com
and i created so many email addresses that I suddenly got quite fed-up with them and felt that a more professional one would be nice and only ONE account
so i'm gonna be using chanskdinah@singnet.com.sg from now on!
haha
sis's bday is in a month's time!
it keeps raining (make that STORMING) every afternoon and then the sun shines so brightly again after that
how random

Love is patient
Love is kind
It does not envy
it does not boast
it is not proud
it is not rude
it is not self-seeking
it is not easily angered
it keeps no record of wrongs
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth
It always protects
always trusts
always hopes
always perseveres
Love never fails.
